Another statement performance from the academy star. Took his early goal superbly, constantly threatened from the right and looked Liverpool’s most dangerous attacker in the first half with clever movement and composure in possession.

The teenager continued to justify the hype. He was heavily involved in Liverpool’s opener, repeatedly drove at defenders and tracked back impressively, showing maturity beyond his years.
Curtis Jones – 7/10
Started as the deepest midfielder and controlled Liverpool’s build-up with his calm passing.
Mor Talla Ndiaye – 7/10
Thrown into action early after Gomez’s injury, the 18-year-old centre-back looked remarkably assured. Read danger well, passed confidently through the lines and barely looked overawed.
