Chelsea player asks to leave, as Tottenham set to communicate decision

It’s that time of year when Turkish clubs turn their attention towards the Premier League and look for loans and bargains. The plan is usually to snatch away players who haven’t had much prominence in the first half of the season.

Often, a low purchase option will be sought but that’s not always a key aspect and isn’t often used anyway.

Beşiktaş have now specifically turned their eyes towards Chelsea and Tottenham as they look to bring in a new senior goalkeeper. Sabah report the Super Lig club have been working hard to secure Filip Jörgensen from the Blues, and have offered an 18 month loan plus a purchase option.

However, they’ve hit a problem. Enzo Maresca and Chelsea parting ways means there’s doubt over what the new manager would think.

Filip Jörgensen keen on transfer

Jörgensen himself is keen on the move. As Sabah explain, he’s told those in charge that he wants to take the opportunity.

Beşiktaş have an alternative should Chelsea not bend to their wishes. That man is Tottenham’s Antonín Kinský, and contact has been made.

Spurs officials have been asked if they’re prepared to loan their player out, and haven’t dismissed it immediately. The Istanbul club are now waiting on a final decision from Tottenham.

Then, depending on what Chelsea also say, they can make a final decision.

Antonín Kinský, 22, has had 180 minutes of EFL Cup action so far this season. Filip Jörgensen, 23, has been more involved with more than 500 minutes of Chelsea action.
