Garnacho future doubt as Man Utd to Chelsea gamble risks backfiring after Enzo Maresca exit

Former Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho now faces one of his fears at Chelsea.

Alejandro Garnacho took the biggest gamble of his career in the summer when he forced an exit from Manchester United to Chelsea.

While Ruben Amorim had closed the first team door to Garnacho at United, the club preferred not to sell him to a Premier League competitor.

Garnacho’s total insistence on signing for Chelsea meant that United were unable to get the maximum possible price for him, weakening Ineos’ negotiating hand.

United had to settle for £40 million, a low fee for a player of his potential, even if his subsequent performances have made the valuation seem like it was in United’s favour.

Now with Enzo Maresca quitting Chelsea on New Year’s Day, the forward faces new uncertainty.
Will Man Utd ever REGRET selling Alejandro Garnacho?

Who was more to blame in this saga?
