The Reds had taken the lead through academy star Morrison before Sunderland hit back following a move down Liverpool’s right flank.<\/p>\n
Frimpong was caught too high up the pitch, allowing Sunderland space to exploit before the visitors finished past Giorgi Mamardashvili to level the scores.<\/p>\n
While pre-season results are rarely viewed as significant, Frimpong’s defensive positioning immediately became a major talking point among supporters watching the game.<\/p>\n
One frustrated fan wrote: “Just look at Frimpong. That’s exactly what teams will target all season if he keeps defending like that.”<\/p>\n
Another reacted: “Frimpong completely switched off. You can’t leave that much space, even in a friendly.”<\/p>\n
