Liam Delap has revealed the squad are excited for what\u2019s to come under Liam Rosenior, and gave one reason why he thinks he\u2019ll be a success.<\/p>\n
Rosenior was announced as Chelsea\u2019s new head coach this week on a six and half year contract, and he watched from the stands as the Blues lost 2-1 against Fulham at Craven Cottage.<\/p>\n
Chelsea now sit eighth in the league and are on a run of one win in nine, and face a real battle to qualify for next season\u2019s Champions League.

Rosenior has reportedly been told Champions League qualification is critical, and he will need to hit the ground running.<\/p>\n
The 41-year-old will need to get a response and go on a run of results which the squad haven\u2019t been capable of all season.<\/p>\n
However, Rosenior does have previous experience of working with some of the Chelsea squad including Andrey Santos and Liam Delap.<\/p>\n
Delap scored his first Premier League goal for the Blues against Fulham, as he built on his second half cameo against Manchester City.<\/p>\n
McFarlane praised Delap for his performance, and the striker believes Rosenior will be a success at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
\u201cYeah, of course [we\u2019re excited]. We\u2019re really thankful for what Enzo did, but we\u2019re really excited for what\u2019s to come,\u201d he told Chelsea\u2019s YouTube channel.<\/p>\n
\u201cI know him really well, and I think he\u2019s going to be really good with the group. Hopefully, we can really start to push on our season with him.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s so passionate about coaching, and from a young age, it\u2019s something he\u2019s always wanted to do. His ideas and beliefs are good. We have so many young players, and he\u2019s really good with young players.\u201d<\/p>\n
No Premier League game for ten days<\/p>\n
Given the struggles in the league, the Blues now don\u2019t have a league match until January 17th when Brentford visit Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
The Blues kick off their FA Cup campaign against Charlton this weekend, and will be desperately looking for a confidence boosting win.<\/p>\n
