Here are the changes made

With 2025 now into the history books, it’s a perfect time to look back at the past 12 months at Chelsea through a statistical lens.

Let’s start with the most important number — 2.

That’s two trophies won by Enzo Maresca in his first season. A fairly routine Conference League campaign gave Chelsea a taste of silverware, driving them on to a much more significant Club World Cup win.

The vibes at Stamford Bridge are as low now as they have been all year. Maresca and the Chelsea board seem to be at odds, and there is a real unrest building in the fanbase.

Who or what is to blame for Chelsea’s poor form? 📉

Following their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, Chelsea have now won just one of their last seven games in the Premier League.

Chelsea’s previous seven league results:

    Chelsea 2-2 Bournemouth
Chelsea 1-2 Aston Villa
Newcastle United 2-2 Chelsea
Chelsea 2-0 Everton
Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea
Leeds United 3-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal

But 2025 was a good year for the Blues, so we’re going to focus on the good (mostly).
Chelsea’s 2025 by the numbers

Enzo Fernandez has the most goal involvements of any Chelsea player in 2025 with 23 (12 goals, 11 assists).

Chelsea have a record of 18 wins, 10 draws and 10 losses in the Premier League in 2025. That gives them 64 points — the fifth-best tally.

Their 58 league goals is only eighth-best over the same span.

Chelsea’s most expensive signing of 2025 was Joao Pedro, who came from Brighton for £60 million.

2. Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund for £52m
3. Alejandro Garnacho from Man United for £40m

The biggest sale was to London rivals Arsenal. They signed Noni Madueke for £52 million.

2. Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan for £36m
3. Joao Felix to Al Nassr for £26m

On the defensive side of the ball, Robert Sanchez had a year to remember in which he redeemed himself in the eyes of Chelsea fans.

The Spaniard managed more clean sheets in the Premier League in 2025 (15) than Manchester United had wins.

During Chelsea’s now-famous Club World Cup run, they ranked first for goals (17), open play goals (14), different goal scorers (10), and shots (112).

They became the fifth team, and first from England, to win multiple Club World Cup titles, joining Real Madrid (6), Barcelona (3), Bayern Munich (2), and Corinthians (2).

While the last few weeks have been far from perfect at Stamford Bridge, it’s important to zoom out and look at what the Blues have achieved in the past 12 months. Hopefully, more good times to come in 2026.

With 2025 now into the history books, it’s a perfect time to look back at the past 12 months at Chelsea through a statistical lens.
